Popcorn Chains

"Who would like to help me finish decorating our tree?"

"We like to make popcorn chains for our tree, and I think that would be a perfect job for you..."
So she set up Elora with a needle and thread, and bowls of popcorn and cranberries....

She made a long chain in no time....

After Elora finished the first chain, Nora took it to hang on the tree...

"It's looking really good..."

"It sure does. We make popcorn chains at our house too, and I really like them..."

"And after Christmas," added Nora,
"when we take the tree outside, we leave the popcorn chains on it, as a treat for the birds."

"That sounds really wonderful. I'm going to ask my Mom if we can make popcorn chains for our tree next year too."

Me! Honestly, I would love to be your apprentice for a week just to see how you make all the lovely stuff. If there is any way you could produce a life stream of one of your creative journeys I am sure people would love to watch!

Maybe, but I'm not the least bit comfortable in front of a camera. Plus these things don't happen in chronological order, and I do have to redo a lot of stuff. I don't need the stress.

Anyways, I'm putting together a 'Making Of' album for after we get to the end of this story. There were so many behind the scenes things, that I thought it deserved an album all its own.

Well this activity should make the children happy as they wait and Elora's foot gets better.

I am already excited about the behind the scenes photos!!!
