Now that Christmas has passed, I can share some of the doll clothes I've been working on most of December as gifts for my granddaughters. I made two casual Mix & Match sets.... They were more or less identical, except for the scarves and shoes. One of the girls also wanted Star Wars Lego, so I made a bridal party set for the other - one bride, plus two bridesmaids... Both girls loved the Mix & Match outfits, and Teagan loved the wedding set, but when she opened the box with the long blue lacy dresses, her reaction was muted. She seemed very confused. Apparently because the dress came with a bouquet, she automatically assumed it was another 'bride' dress, but she couldn't figure out why it was blue, or why there were two of them. Kids can be so unpredictable! It never even dawned on me that she didn't know about 'bridesmaids'?

It never even occurred to me that she wouldn't recognize them as bridesmaids.

Well, this bridesmaid outfit is as pretty as the bridal gown, so that is perhaps the reason for the confusion. Aren't bridesmaids suppose to be less pretty than the bride herself ? LOL
