I had wanted to make Isar an Elf warrior outfit for our upcoming trip, but I knew there wouldn't be enough time, so I thought I'd just modify Asa's Topaz Fairy outfit. I made a new upper skirt - exactly the same but without all the fairy talismen dangling off the bottom. Isar has a larger chest than Asa, and there was just too much open bosom, so I made a small tank top, and a necklace to fill the space. When trying on wigs, her normal long wavy hairdo was just too long and bulky. I like Elin's red Roxie wig - it gives her a "perky" look. And with her perky, warrior look, the longest skirt needed hoisting up. I had already shortened it with a tuck, but it needed to be made even shorter. The problem with putting multiple skirts on (as well as tights and pantaloons) means the waistbands have to get progressively bigger so all the waistbands aren't all fighting for the same spot on the doll's waist, but they fit above and below one another.Since the skirt was a bit long to start with - even for the fairy outfit - and the waistband was not wide enough - it did up with a super-stretched hook and eye - I decided to cut off the old waistband and put on a new wider one. I took out the first tuck, and made a new, much wider, one so the dark brown skirt comes down well above her ankles. Isar is borrowing Aeran's sword and bag, and now she still needs a bow and a quiver full of arrows. I'm behind where I thought I'd be (like usual) because I hadn't expected to be remaking so many things, plus I spent all afternoon yesterday getting an unexpected root canal. Hopefully that means things should start improving now. Anyway, I bought a new chamois at Canadian Tire for Byuri's new Indian outfit, so I better get started with that today too.

I love the colours on this outfit and she looks really good in that wig.

Thanks! The feathers are from a green budgie - so actual size. I used to have budgies years ago, and I always picked up the fallen feathers and saved them.

I really like this look on her with the bow and quiver she will be stunning. It works well I think. Comments are closed.
