Paige presented her gift next, and like Nami, she had also made a card....
Picture
Lawrence opened the box, and inside was a scarf...
Picture
"I didn't know that you could knit...."
Picture
"Well, I didn't...but then Naomi showed me how...."
Picture
'You did a great job....and it fits perfectly!"
Picture
"I love it.  Thank you!"
Picture
Then it was David's turn.  "Happy birthday Dad!"
Picture
"I made you something too...."
Picture
It was a bird house...."
Picture
"This is really nice.  You did a great job...."
Picture
"Uncle Baron did help me a little...but I put it all together...."
Picture
"I thought you could hang it in the garden outside your office window...."
Picture
"It will be interesting to see who moves in...."

The children are all so talented.

Three gifts opened. One to go. Hmmm, I cannot image what Ringo's gift will be.

Even though he will be frowning when the gift is opened, I am sure that the rest of us will smile. We are all rooting for Ringo.

Yes, they all have plenty of skills, and access to help if they needed it. I just wanted to focus on something different for Lawrence's birthday, instead of the usual party and dinner, and thought it would be fun to focus on the gifts the children made for their Dad. Kids are all the same everywhere, and if they had been in modern times, that birdhouse would have been made of popsicle sticks.

Ringo doesn't always have to frown. He can also look very concerned, worried, serious, or studious, depending on the camera angles. All I'm willing to say is that his gift makes me smile every time I look at it.

I wish every child had such a good and loving Papa. Your characters have such nobility--whether they are royalty or not. We love, laugh, and cry with them.

Thank you. That means a lot. I love trying to capture the 'emotions' through the poses and camera angles.

This family is so warm and loving.

Your photos brought back many nice memories of my own Dad. Like Lawrence, he always loved and used the things we made for him.

I have an idea what Ringo's gift might be, but I won't say just in case I'm right. I love that little guy.
