Ordered a New Boy

In a new, unexpected turn of events, several of my smaller dolls are going to get the opportunity to become 'fantasy adventurers' - a group of pirates, or a tiny LOTR group, or something else totally fantasy barbarian-ish. And they need a 'leader', so Jan wanted me to choose a KID that would make a good boy, and he'd order him for my birthday next month. I had a hard time choosing since only a couple of the KIDs look like they could pass as boys in my opinion. At the end it was between Lisa and Milly, but I finally chose Milly since she's a different sculpt that I don't already have....

Milly in the photo above is Peach-Gold, but I'm getting mine in Real Skin. Not sure what
I'll name him - maybe Milo? I'll wait until he gets a face up and a wig, and then decide.

I rarely thought of my little kids as anything beyond 'contemporary', and my larger dolls were all 'fantasy figures'. Until I took a whole 'contemporary family' along on our trip last fall. I found that very liberating. So ordered a bunch of the hoodies that were on sale along with Millie.

And now some of the little ones are going to do the switch to the restrictive fantasy genre. But they say change is good - keeps fresh ideas coming.

Yes it is! It would be nice if he came before the actual date, which could be possible. Iplehouse has reorganized and is getting the dolls out faster now. My two at Christmas arrived in just three weeks after ordering. Of course, then he'll be blank and still need a face up.

I think Milly will look wonderful in real skin and Milo is a great choice for a name, CONGRATULATIONS!
