Baron and Rex were out on their annual winter patrol.....

Every winter the King sent them out to check on the conditions in the outlying farms and villages, to check on his subjects and see how they were doing in the bitter cold. Did they have enough food?  Did they have enough firewood to keep warm?

What handsome young men. I love seeing the King's crest on the flag.

Thanks. They sure are!

Now I see that I also need to paint that griffin on the other side of the pennant.

Amazing pictures. It somewhat reminds me of the text for Good King Wenceslas.

Oh my goodness, it does feel like that. It's my favorite Christmas carol.

They are so handsome. just the way I would imagine a brave young knight would look.

Lawrence is a wise and caring king indeed. It's no wonder he is loved by his subjects.

I really like the way you have added warmth to their costumes while they are on patrol.

Thanks. I made their 'fur' collars out of really rough yarn. I tried fake fur first but it just didn't look right. And I had two sets of knit scarves and fingerless gloves I'd made way back when I was going to make Outlander outfits for sale - but never did - and those were perfect.

Then I added a bit of blush to give them red cheeks and noses in the cold.

You have some of the most beloved and memorable dolls of all of us online, Martha. Baron and Rex are two of my favourites. I hope they don't encounter any difficulties during their patrol.

Thank you. Rex had always been my favourite when he first came out in the EID size, so I got him immediately when IH released him in FID size. But I think I like Baron even more.

I don't think they'll have any difficulty....mostly because I don't have any nasty characters that they could run into. At least not any BJD ones. We are in for another snow storm the next few days, so I'll have to give it some thought, and see if I can come up with some more ideas.
