Not Much to Hide Behind

8/1/2016

One of the doll forums is hosting a themed photo competition, and I thought I'd enter.  But I needed to use dolls exclusive to that forum, which meant two of my Iplehouse beauties had to give up their gowns.

They still had their masks to hide behind, in order to maintain some modesty, but Kassia's mask won't hide much, so she's moved in close to Asa, whose mask is big enough for the both of them....

This is what happens when each doll only has the clothes they are wearing,
and there's nothing spare to switch into.
Maybe I should consider making some dressing gowns, for just such emergencies.

I had a lot of fun taking photos for the competition, and I couldn't have done it without lots of help from Jan, hauling stuff out into the backyard to help me set up. But I won't be showing any of the photos until after the competition is over. So, stay tuned, in about a week from now.....

Poor girls! You really should make them an emergency dress of some sort.......heheheheheee.
And I have seen your entry for the competition and it is FABULOUS!!! It was so worth all the time and effort and it looked as if it was real fun to do too.

They only had to stand around like that for one day - then they got their dresses back. But I really should make a bunch of dressing gowns for such situations.

I'm glad you liked my entry. I figured I needed to use Kaye Wiggs dolls in the photo, since that's what people on that forum are partial to, and thankfully my KW dolls fit JID clothes. Although I did have to remove Miki's hands in order to get her arms through the sleeves.

I will post the photos here once the contest is over.

I was almost tempted to post my 'Alice through the Looking Glass' photo, but it's with your dress, and you took a similar photo, so I didn't.

When you take an 'Alice through the Looking Glass' photo in the future sometime, yours will be so different from mine because you will taking it.
And you know how much I love your style.

And anyway I was being directly influenced by the illustrations in the book so it was hardly my idea in the first place anyway........but it was a kind thought of yours ((hugs)) xxx
