Nowadays I keep the Flower Fairy baby bedding in my antique buggy....
This week I'm working on a baby quilt for my next little granddaughter, due two months today. We went to Len's Mills last week to look for a nice quilt panel, and I discovered three Flower Fairy panels. Each one had a selection of Cecily M Barker's Flower Fairies in a particular colour scheme. I liked the pink one, but it seemed just a bit "too pink", considering one can't ever be 100% sure the baby will actually be a girl until it arrives. So, in order to not tempt fate, I chose the blue and purple panel entitled "Night Fairies"...... It's interesting that I went this exact same route when I was pregnant for the third time myself years ago. In those days we didn't know the sex of the baby beforehand, and after two boys I was really, really hoping for a girl. So I made cross-stitched blue Flower Fairy bedding, thinking it would work for a baby boy too. Then it turned out to be a little girl after all, and now that she's all grown and is expecting a little girl of her own, I'm going the blue Flower Fairy route again.
Nowadays I keep the Flower Fairy baby bedding in my antique buggy....

Both the bedding you made for your daughter and the fabric you have picked for your latest grandchild are so pretty. Comments are closed.
