New Shirt & Art Apron

1/28/2018

I started three colourful shirts for Narae, for when she's working in her studio. I had hoped that I could use an existing shirt pattern, but the JID one was too big, and the KID shirt was a touch too small. So I had to draft up a whole new set of patterns.

I chose some bright colourful fabrics. The two batik ones are leftovers from shirts I made for myself years ago. The other, is just a different colourway from a shirt I'd made for Benny....

And because Narae will be giving art lessons, I decided that I also needed a bunch of Art Aprons for her students.  Some in BID size, and some in KID size. The first BID (test) one is finished....

Brand new, and nice and clean, but not for long....

I have six more in different sizes cut out, but haven't decided if there will be adult art classes. Because then I need to make even more.

Martha, I love the shirt. It is perfect! I am sure all of the BIDs are excited about upcoming lessons, well, maybe not one. I wonder what Ringo will have to say about art lessons (smile).

Thanks! The BIDs don't really know yet. There's 13 of them, and there's Narae's art classes will have a limit of just 3 or 4. So I'll see who gets to go.

I love the shirts! They look perfect for an artist. The Art Aprons are great and just what your aspiring little artists will need. Art lessons are going to be fun to see. Ringo in your bird painting sequence was a hoot, and could definitely benefit from a lesson or two...or three or...

Thanks! It will still be a while before art lessons start, and I really don't know at this point who will be going. Ringo may not want to.

Love the leg warmer! And the shirts!

Thanks! The leg warmers are supposed to go with her first top, and I doubt she'd be wearing these in the studio, so I'm thinking I may just have to make some simple striped ones to with her shirts.
