New Beginnings

4/3/2023

Today we begin a brand new saga that I've been working on for the past three months. It's a story about change, and the introduction of several new characters to my Fantasy Medieval doll world.

Winter Patrol

Several months had passed since Baron and Naomi's wedding, and life had settled into a comfortable routine. Winter had come, and the world had become a wonderland of ice and snow.  It was time for Baron to leave on his annual Winter Patrol of the remote, northern regions of the Kingdom.

Beautiful scenes. I love their cloaks. Is her wig different? Did you make it?

Thanks. No, it's the same wig she's been wearing every time she's in Baron's Medieval world. And yes, I made it.

Awww, it is so sad that they have to part for now but duty is duty.

The starkness of the setting and the snow create even more of a feeling of desolation, which is what both of them must be experiencing.

The photos are lovely.

Uh oh, I’m sensing some drama coming with the baby due soon. I hope Winston the dragon is on standby to bring him home in time!
I love the way you get their cloaks to drape so wonderfully well too.

Thank you. The drape of the cloaks is all in the fabric choices. His is a cotton crinkle gauze, and hers is a soft velour.

A beautiful and tender farewell. The photos capture the emotions so many couples have faced as a husband leaves on a dangerous mission.
The setting is beautiful. Naomi's velvet cloak is gorgeous against the snow.

Thank you. It would have been especially difficult for couples in those times when a husband was gone for weeks and there was no way to contact each other.

I love taking photos in the snow, and that was an especially beautiful snowfall, perfect for the scene I had in mind.
