We delivered the bottom half of our daughter's Barbie castle ten days ago, and are planning on delivering the rest soon (it didn't all fit in our car at once). I had kept several of the original banners that I'd made for it 32 years ago, since I'd been using them for various doll photo sets. I really didn't want to give them up, since they are integral parts of various interior 'rooms', but when my daughter said she used to have banners hanging everywhere on her castle, I felt a bit guilty about keeping them. So I decided to make her some new ones to replace the four I am keeping. The unicorn is one of the original banners I also decided to give back. So now the castle can be decorated as before, like she remembers.

The banners are wonderful! I really like the unicorn. I dont understand. Are you keeping the original unicorn banner? And this one is a reproduction of it? I would love to see a banner in the current castle scenes and perhaps a special banner with Winston on it! It would not be a bad idea to have a unicorn as a friend for Winston. Both are very magical. Pegasus could be another since he could fly with Winston. I love that you do in these beautiful fantasy worlds.

The unicorn one is an original from 32 years ago. I had held onto it, but it's too bright for my castle scenes. I only ever used it when baron was at medieval Times and I needed something obviously 'fake'.

What a wonderful gift for your daughter. She still has the special memories that go along with the castle. And now new memories will be made.

Dorothy has summed up this amazing castle so well. It is a castle with special memories memories, and now new ones to be made. Yours and Jan's castle will be a family heirloom I think. Comments are closed.
