Nelly arrived this morning! She is taller than her sister Layla, but she still fits her dresses. The bodice fits perfectly, but the sleeves and skirts are too short, which means minimal pattern adjusting. Yay!! I like not having to redesign a new set of patterns totally from scratch.
Nelly has very expressive hands, and with that cute little pout she reminds me so much of my youngest granddaughter. I picture Nelly as a red-head, and liked the lighter red wig best. Here she is looking all ready for Christmas. I say "looking ready", since she has no underwear, tights or shoes, and her skirt is a bit short. She needs a holiday dress of her own, but in the meantime this one will have to do. However, first priority is to make some tights and pantaloons for her.
