Nac-Mac-Feegles

Back in the early winter of 2015, I discovered the amazing Russian artist aGatti, who makes the most incredibly lifelike, mature, MSD size dolls. Even though I am usually drawn to the more realistic sculpts, I wasn't sure her dolls weren't maybe a little too realistic, especially compared to most of the dolls in my collection. But I fell in love with her little Feegle characters. Unfortunately he had been offered as a pre-order a few months earlier, and was no longer available. But she said she would release him again in 2017.

So yesterday she put him up for a limited pre-order, along with a new second Feegle character.
Well, I just have to have both of them, so sent an email to start the pre-order process.
Picture
They are just 16.5 cm tall, and perfect for little 'dwarf' characters, to go with my Fantasy crew...
Picture
The plan is to dress them in similar fashion to the little 'Wee Folk' figures my sister and I made
many years ago. The Feegles will become posable versions of our little 'Warrior Dwarves'.

Even though they won't be arriving until some time in the fall - September or October
- I'm very excited to be able to get them.

Oh god, I am so glad you are getting them! I shall live through you cause I just got the newest Dollsbe as angry battle dwarf and don't think I can finance a Nac-Mac-Feegle sadly!

They are not very expensive, and who knows if or when they will be offered again. And she does take partial payments.

Oh, you are going to have so much fun with them! Your Fantasy crew will be amazing and so will be the adventures you create for them. I can just picture your little dwarf warriors interacting with your brave little adventurers! Can't wait to see them all in action!

I can't wait either, but they aren't due to arrive until some time in late September or October. And then there's still the lengthy wait for having them painted.

They will make great dwarfs! They look so gruff; I can already imagine them interacting with your young fantasy characters. Interested to see how they will be painted. Grey seems both odd and yet oddly fitting for a dwarf.

I think she makes her casts in gray, but that's not the colour they come in. You can order them in tan or blue. The blue is to represent how they look when they are supposedly completely covered with blue tattoos. I ordered mine in tan.

Tan sounds much better than grey.

I keep seeing Patrick Stewart in that one on the right LOL! I know they'll look amazing when you are finished with them.

I've seen plenty of other people make the same comment. She usually does sculpt her dolls based on real live people, but she claims the Feegles are 'out of her imagination'.

Congratulations!

These action figures, and the eye and craft you obviously bring to your work, well, I *love* the prospect of seeing your finally fully outfitted Feegles. But I searched through the blog and haven't seen any pix of the finished versions! Please tell me you've got some photos!

No, they are still blank in their boxes.

Argh. The curse of the acutely artistic mind: so many projects! so little time! (And the pandemic in some ways makes it even worse -- more time to idly come across and devise NEW projects!)

Thanks for letting me know!

Isn't that the truth!!
