We had another dusting of snow overnight, and even though there was way less, I was feeling somewhat better, so decided to take advantage before the sun melted it all, and try take one of the scenes I'd wanted to do yesterday. So I put a warm cloak on Bianca so she could go out and inspect the snow on the scillas at one end of my backyard. Another way to shoot photos of dolls posed on the ground, without actually having to get down on the ground with them, yet still make it look like you are shooting on their level, is to shoot from a standing position some distance away using a telephoto lens. Unfortunately it's heavy and my hands shake while holding it, and I should have set the camera at a higher ISO, so many of the photos ended up too blurry. And of course with the sun about to come up over the house and melt the snow, there was no second chance to reshoot anything. So they are what they are.....

After a morning spent sitting by a cozy fire and sipping tea, a stroll through the light snowfall seems like a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. I am glad we got to "go along" with Bianca.

Yes, it's been crazy weather this spring. It's been colder than normal so the scillas have lasted a lot longer than usual. And just as I thought I was done taking photos in them for this year, we got snow on them.
