A few more photos of the kids out on the rocks at the mouth of Chickanishing Creek.... And for those becoming concerned at how much time my resin kids seem to be spending in the sun, when everyone knows how bad the UV rays are for them, I took this photo while Jan was making a few last minute adjustments. The dolls get protected by an umbrella, which gets removed just long enough to take the photos, then it's put back again to minimize exposure to the sun.

That's for sure! He says he likes helping, and it really helps make the photos turn out better, because I can lay down in position with the camera and direct him to make any posing changes so everyone is looking where they should be. I can't imagine having to get up and down onto the rocks to make all the tiny changes myself. Once is hard enough.

He says he likes helping, and he'll often come up with posing ideas I'd not thought of myself.

More wonderful photos of the adventures on the islands! They really did have a wonderful time on their holidays.

I feel the same way. I actually prefer to shoot on overcast days, or in shade, or at the end of the day when the sun is low and the light is softer, but there are times when there's no choice but bright midday sun. That's when I'm very fussy about keeping the sun off them as much as possible. Comments are closed.
