Meanwhile, back at the party, Winston was still opening gifts....
Peach and Bonnie had chipped in to give him a fire extinguisher.....

'Wow, this will come in very handy.....especially when I accidentally set something on fire!!"

Then Chloe stepped forward with her gift....

"Happy Birthday Winston!!"

Everyone wanted to see what was in it....

"Wow, it's matches!! Boxes full of matches!!"

"What does a dragon need matches for?? Doesn't he breathe fire??"

"Yes, but when they get a cold, or a tummy ache, their flame can go out...."

"So if that happens, all he has to do is light one of these, and breathe it in, and it's fixed!"
"Wow, that's so thoughtful of you!!"

"Thanks! That's what I thought!"

You have the zaniest sense of humour and a terrific imagination! Wing de-icer, fire extinguisher, and dragon breath-fire reigniter - love them all!

I don't think anyone but you would come up with such unique birthday gifts! Mind you, I doubt there are too many people on any given day with a dragon whose birthday is being celebrated :o)

Thanks, but I can't take all the credit. The wing de-icer was Jan's idea. It was a bit of a challenge trying to think what would be useful to a dragon. Afterwards I thought I should have had someone give him a teddy bear, but by then the whole set up was already taken down, and it was too late.
