More Ducky Fun

Knowing the Big Duck would be in Amherst this past weekend, I just had to take Elin along.
She just LOVES yellow duckies, and she even had a duckie themed birthday cake.....

So we took Elin, and Holly too.  It was nice that when we arrived to see the World's Biggest
Rubber Duck, it was quite early in the morning, so there were no crowds. It's also nice our
son-in-law actually encourages me taking doll photos, so at least I wasn't feeling embarrassed doing it in front of family - because taking doll photos in front of strangers is hard enough,
but in front of family it's WAY too intimidating.

Elin and Holly had brought their own little yellow duckies along...

They each posed individually with the big duck....

A sneaky son-in-law captured Jan and I at work....

Family suggested I take pictures with the big Baby Duck too.
Emily was very interested, wondering what Grandpa was doing....

The two little dolls were about the comparative scale of Emily with the big Mama Duck...

Personally, I preferred to take close ups...

Just wish the pictures weren't posting so gray-ish.

All in all, Holly and Elin were pretty proud of themselves. After all, how many
little girls get to be photographed with the World's Biggest Rubber Duck??

How lovely to get such welcome support from a family member! And I love all the photos.....especially the sneaky peek one with you in it too!

It was really nice when my son-in-law actually asked me to take photos of baby Emily with my dolls dressed as fairies, last year. Twice even!

but with other family members I would feel way too awkward.

Thanks so much for sharing your lovely family weekend! I love all the photos (and like Jane, especially the sneaky peek of you and Jan in action).

That Mama Duck must be something to see in person. I'd seen a story about it on CBC - a 6-story high duck is some awesome tub toy!
