Today, November 12th, is 'National Take a Model Train to Work' Day.

Owen was an important businessman who loved trains, and he had just acquired a much sought after engine, which he was taking to work to add to the collection in his office....

When he got to his office, he put the engine on his desk, and started answering his emails....

He tried to concentrate on his work...

But his new engine was just too distracting...

I love this mini story! You always surprise me with how you turn a little known holiday into a "day in the life" of your doll "actors." These stories are so much fun to read.

"National Take a Model Train to Work Day" I love it! Owen is a man after my own heart. Next to BJDs, trains are my favourite toy.

The background for his commute to the office is great, as is his office. He even has a family photo on the shelf behind him!

Thanks. I enjoy doing the Special Days series whenever there's one that inspires me.

I wanted him to look like a businessman going to his office, so we went looking for a suitable place that would look like a city bus stop, or office building. We ended up at a corner of the mall where there's the enclosed stairs up to the pedestrian bridge which spans the 12 lane 401, to the GO train station on the other side of the highway.

And of course he'd have a family photo in his office! It's from when they went on a trip out west a few years ago.
