Since Tiana wasn't too thrilled about looking like an old lady, Muffy took her dress apart and made some changes. She shortened the skirt and added a touch of lace peaking out the bottom.
"So what do you think now?"

But then Miss Kitty arrived to try on her new dress....

"The dress is beautiful....

"...and I especially love what you've done with the hat and shawl..."

"I love the entire ensemble..."

Tiana had been quietly watching Kitty try on her new dress....

"This is the most gorgeous fabric that I've ever seen!!"

I adore that hat! It goes so well with the shawl scarf too.
I like the lace trim on Tiana's dress too.

Thanks. Kitty's outfit is my favourite of all the ones I've made so far. I actually made her hat first, then then knit her a shawl, but decided she needed something fancier, so went through my fabric stash to find something suitable for an elegant shawl. Ginger Raccoon inherited the knit shawl.

They are all by Whispering Grass, an artist in the Ukraine. I got all mine through JpopDolls, who carried them occasionally years ago. Now the artist sells them herself, but they are not often available. She recently had a preorder for some brightly coloured tropical toads. She said she was planning on making darker gray mice available this year. I have no idea when.
