days of each other, I figured I needed to make a decent wardrobe for Jasmine, since
it will be a year before she will get anything again. So here's what I made.....
Today is New Year's Eve, and it's also my granddaughter Teagan's eighth birthday. I bought her a MIM doll, and have been busy making clothes for her the past few weeks. I actually bought two MIM dolls, and here's what they looked like when they arrived back in the summer..... The dolls were shiny plastic, with their eyes seemed way too big for their eye holes, making them look like 'aliens'. Also, their heads would only turn from side to side, and they couldn't look up and down. I took the dolls to Charie Wilson, who worked her magic on them. She changed the head joints so the dolls could look up and down, she sprayed the dolls with matte sealer, and she gave them smaller eyes, and eye lashes. What a difference that made! Considering Teagan gets all her gifts from Christmas and her birthday, all at once within
days of each other, I figured I needed to make a decent wardrobe for Jasmine, since it will be a year before she will get anything again. So here's what I made.....

Lovely outfits. I love these dolls. Mine is still in her Halloween getup at the moment because I have been too busy to make her anything else. She cannot share clothes with any of my other dolls.

I find that the MIM dolls can wear outfits designed for Kaye Wiggs MSDs, although they don't quite fill out the bust the same way.

Ooo, I see you have some Goodreau Miss Kitty boots (the furry ones). I have a pair of these that came on my Miss Kitty. She currently wears a Victorian gown. Her boots got the lower parts shaved shorter so now they look a little better. I left a cuff of the longer fur at the top. And to think I almost got rid of them because they were too hairy. ;-)

Lucky Teagan! I hope she will get many hours or joy and fun playing with her new doll *yippee*

The difference between how the dolls were when they arrived, and how they are now, is huge. I think I'm just keeping Taylor myself for now. It's always handy having a clothing model. Plus, then there's a friend here for Jasmine if Teagan brings her over.

I love the way Jasmine looks now and you made lovely outfits for her. Thanks to you, I ordered also Jasmine and Teagan for myself when I saw what you had made with Jasmine. I think I should be able to use the matte spray, put lashes on them and change their eyes. I don't know if I'll manage to modify their neck though, will see when they arrive. When you can, I'd love to see Taylor with her new look too.

I think the dolls would benefit from some body blushing, and especially being given a manicure as well. I've never been fond of the dolls with naked hands. But I wasn't going to go to that expense for a play doll for my granddaughter.
