Masquerade!

3/13/2016

I'm busy trying to take photos of my JID girls with their masks, and would like an elegant interior, but those are a real challenge, so I'm having to make do with my dining room as a background setting. While I'm at it, I'm also taking group shots of all my Iplehouse JIDs. I've not taken a group shot with all of them for a couple of years, and back then I only had four, so it was high time to do it again.

Here's the four from January 2013.

Isar and Kyle have remained the same, while Kassia's wig was replaced, and Asa was given a complete makeover. And then there were the three new additions; Soa, Owen and Leona.

Here's my whole group today....

And just the five ladies....

Leona is the only doll who has a 'contemporary persona' and she's only fitting in at the 'Masquerade' by borrowing Lily's Summer Goddess outfit, which looks so beautiful on her she may not want to give it back. But it fits Lily better, so maybe Leona will need a special outfit of her own. Since she and Owen are a 'pair', and he's a Musketeer, maybe Leona needs a period gown from that same time. But then, who says costumes have to match historically or period-wise? Make them all a mask and they can attend a Masquerade party wearing whatever fancy outfit they have on.

If I had the space, what other JID sculpts would be nice to add to the group? Well, maybe a light brown Bennie, a Violet, and maybe another Asa. As beautiful as this Asa is, I do miss her old look sometimes. She was also my very first Iplehouse doll.

They are awesome in their outfits with all the caring details. I can't say, wich one i adore most. The masks are the icing on the cake.
