Manuna Mouse

I'm excited to share some news about an adorable little figure I've been watching the progress on for the past year.  In March 2012, Ukrainian artist Iryna Scargeear first introduced her adorable little ball-jointed mouse Manuna on the Resin Cafe doll forum. She was the cutest little one-of-a-kind, fully jointed mouse, I'd ever seen.  Many companies make ball-jointed animal figures, but they are all anthropomorphic figures - meaning they have human bodies with animal heads. This was the first time I'd seen a mouse that actually looked like a real little mouse - body and all - and the way Ira had dressed her, she reminded me so much of Beatrix Potter illustrations. The little mouse stands 10.5 cm tall, is made of Epoxy Sculpt and even has a jointed tail.

Everyone on Resin Cafe fell in love with Manuna, and begged Ira to have her little mouse produced in resin and offered to the public. So that's what she did, and Grace at JPopDolls says she will be offered for pre-order very soon - first in light brown resin, and later in white.

My doll collection is pretty much complete now, but I'd love to add a few of these adorable little mice. Dress them like Beatrix Potter characters, or fairy-tale characters. And of course, that would also open up a whole new direction in doll costuming for my little Iplehouse girls as they'd need little fairy-tale costumes for stories they could appear together in.  Sounds like fun!!

Oh, that mouse is adorable!!!! Thank you for sharing this. I am sure those will sell quickly. You are right, there would be so many fairytale possibilities with such a cute character.

Hello, I have just discovered the wonderful character Manuna Mouse. Can you please tell me if these are still available anywhere? I like to write & illustrate children's stories, especially for my 4 Grandchildren & this would help my mouse drawing so much.
With thanks, Sue York

Manuna Mouse is by Whispering Grass, and they are sold exclusively through Jpopdolls. There have been three pre-orders so far - one for each of the colours (tan, white, and grey). They are only available new by pre-order once, then only on the secondary market after that.

The good news is that the grey mice have not been delivered yet as of today (May 14, 2015). They are supposed to be shipped to the people who ordered them some time this summer. Jpopdolls always orders a few extras, so after everyone has their mice, they do put the extras up for sale. I'd suggest signing up to Jpopdolls newsletter so you'll get the email for when they sell their extras. Another possible place to find one is by signing up to Resin Cafe, which is a forum owned by Jpopdolls. They announce extra sales there too, and sometimes when new dolls are finally sent out, at least one or two people want to sell theirs. Also once you've been a member long enough, and have completed the required number of posts on that forum, you can put out a 'Want to Buy' request, and it's possible someone will be willing to sell you their's.
