Maiden with Dragon

After struggling with the green gown at every turn, I finally finished it today. It's not how I envisioned it when I first started, but I had to listen to the gown itself and what it wanted. So I basically left it very 'simple'....

I personally think this gown suits Bianca much more than the red one. It has a 'younger' quality about it. However, I'm in mid-story with Rex and Bianca headed to Medieval Times, with her wearing the red gown Rex rented for her.  Oh well. Whenever Monica comes back from the spa she will claim the red gown back, so it's not like Bianca was going to keep it anyways.

But with Bianca looking so beautiful in this gown, that means Rex is going to need a knight or nobleman costume as well, since Baron will want his outfit back when he comes back as well.

Sigh.  Seems like making doll costumes is like playing dominos.....because one thing constantly leads to another, and another, and another.....  Or maybe I'll just hold off on that, and let one of the two new FID ladies claim this gown whenever they arrive. Because I already had other plans for Rex and Bianca.  Two other sets of plans, each needing three brand new costumes.  Like I said, 'dominos'.....

The gown may have had a mind of its own, but it certainly needed your touch to take it where it wanted to go! It\s beautiful, Martha, really beautiful. I agree that it suits Bianca even more than Monica's red gown does.
She and Winston make a great pair... maybe because they're "dressed" in the same colours?! I love the photos where she looks in the directions he's pointing. I wonder what they are watching!

Thank you! I do really like it. It's more of an "every girl" type gown. It would be fun to have whomever ends up with this gown have a special relationship with Winston, and then I can shoot some stories. Right now I just did some studio shots to best show off the dress.

I love how you think this dress is "simple." Of my goodness, I would be pulling out my hair after trying to sew on one bead (laugh). The dress is beautiful. I love the colors you have chosen.

Winston looks quite at home with Bianca.

Okay, by 'simple' I mean the cut of the gown without any extraneous stuff like hanging sleeves or cascading ribbons or other decoration. A 'simple' gown can still be heavily embellished.

The red gown is beautiful, but this gown stole my breath away, it’s so lovely and stunning. And Bianca looks fantastic in these colors. I don’t find it simple, it’s so elegant, every single detail looks perfect. It’s like a dream come true, a trip to Florence in the Renaissance.

Thanks ! I agree, I like this gown on her best as well. I used Bianca as the model for both, since I wanted the gowns to fit both Iple FIDs and Raccoon ladies, and the Iplehouse ones are a bit 'chunkier' so I start with those. And I only have one slim FID at the moment, so Bianca gets to be photographed in them first. But I find it interesting how a doll can look so much better in one dress than another.

I have two more Medieval gowns in mind, but they will be more Italian Renaissance in style.
