Mad Hatter's Tea Party

11/27/2020

Alice had arrived in Wonderland, with her cat....
Picture
...where she met the Mad Hatter....
Picture
....who invited her to his tea party....
Picture
Alice sat down beside a green toad. He wasn't one of the usual guests one would expect, but this wasn't your usual tea party, and I had to make some replacement decisions....
Picture
....like the two little Victorian boys, who could stand in for Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum....
Picture
....and Winston instead of the Jaberwocky.....
Picture
I did have a dormouse, and he needed some help to sit high enough at the table....
Picture
The dormouse brought a friend, and because there were no rabbits, a Raccoon was invited instead..
Picture
It was a lovely afternoon, perfect for a tea party....

They all had such a fun time, that I need to see about gathering some more friends for more adventures in Wonderland next year....

Thanks. I figured it was my 'Wonderland' so I could invite who I wanted to.

Absolutely love these! I've had an Alice obsession for a very long time so I really enjoyed these. Wonderful everything and I totally agree it's your Alice fantasy, so invite whoever you want!

Thanks. I also don't mind mixing styles - like the traditional Alice, with the movie Hatter. One of these days I hope to have more characters and do some more scenes. I'd like a rabbit, and a jointed caterpillar, but would have to make both.

Martha, I love to visit this blog so much. You are so inventive and so incredibly skilled. I've been inspired to work on my own sewing, photography andstory-telling with my dolls. Your Alice is so precious, as are all of the children and characters! Did you make some of the lovely food as well?

I'm so glad my site makes you happy, and even more so that it inspires you to try things too.

Yes, I made most of the food on the table. I really enjoy making props.
