Lisa and Faye

10/24/2023

Still continuing to take photos for the costume book of any outfits I didn't have any full length portrait shots of.  I needed some of the last two KID size Medieval gowns I made, which were Lisa's gown and Faye's birthday dress.

First Faye, who is Bianca and Yvette's little sister. I had made her a new gown of her own for her birthday.

And I needed a photo of Lisa, who just arrived last year, and finally had a dress of her own...

She is my very first, and only doll, in the Iplehouse Peach Gold resin colour.

I was surprised how pretty it was, but then it's the older, more translucent resin, before they changed the formula and everything went matte.

And we needed a close up photo of the two of them with Paige in her blue dress..

I've never been all that happy with Faye, and had wondered if maybe a different wig would help.  So I had ordered a blonde Monique 'Lovely' wig from Facets Boutique.  Even though they used to sell many of the various Monique wigs, most have been sold out ever since the company went out of business.  But Facets still had plenty of 'Lovely' wigs in all sorts of colours. I'm guessing most people are put off by the awful promo photo of that particular wig, so there hasn't been much demand for it, so it was still available in almost all the colours. But it is really a very nice wig, and I ordered it in blonde in two sizes. I tried one on Faye...

I think I like her much better like this....

So I had to reshoot the group photos as well....

So, that's another group done.

Three beautiful young ladies. I like the new wig on Faye. It is amazing how different it makes her look.

The gowns are lovely.

I like the new wig much better, so now I'm in a quandary, since I already bought a new doll (a KID Daisy, who I thought was a lot nicer) to replace her character. But Faye is rather nice like this. So now I have to decide if I'm really going to replace her, and if not, who the new girl will be.

Hmmm, I see what you mean. I like the "new" Faye. I don't know what Daisy looks like as I haven't been on the Iplehouse site for a while.

Maybe Daisy can be a visitor from Naomi's former life who came to see the children. Just an idea. I know you will find a way to make her character work whoever she becomes.

The gowns are all lovely, as are the photos.

Faye is nice in her new wig. She has a sweet, wistful look about her. I know what you mean about the promo picture for the wig. I had never even bothered to look at that wig until yesterday seeing Faye. I quickly bought one for the new Raccoondoll coming for Christmas. When I checked back later in the day, that colour and size were sold out! I think you may have started a run on "Lovely" wigs 😄

I figured with so many people regretting the loss of Monique wigs, and knowing Facets still had some, and of a wig that looks WAY better than its promo photo, I would just mention it. I'm glad it worked.
