Ringo was unhappy with the figure that came in the set with the US Capitol building....

"We aren't Americans, so we don't have to have this guy as President in our Legoland.."
Picture
"Well, how about this guy then?" asked Efreet, offering his favourite Magician figure....
Picture
"We can vote on it..."

Two candidates for President....
Picture
"Okay, everyone who wants the angry guy with the yellow hair, raise your hands...."
Picture
"Now everyone who votes for Efreet's Magician, raise your hands..."
Picture
"Looks like we have a new President.."
Picture
"I like this one much better."

Thanks! I couldn't help myself, when I borrowed that Capitol building. It's just how my mind works, with one thing leading to another, and another.

It was purely coincidental that the 'president' figure had a scowl on his face. There were limited Lego figures to choose from, and I was looking for one in a cheap suit, and a head with a suitable hairdo - which was light gray, but I painted yellow (and scrubbed clean before returning him)

The whole story is now in the proper order over in Favourite Photos 2018. Now to make all the other new albums.

now there's a subtle political statement

I couldn't help myself. The story sort of evolved on its own, and I never started out with any political statement in mind. We were at Chris' to feed the cat, and I thought I'd take his Capitol building for a fun doll photo shoot. Then I thought of having a 'President Trump', so started looking through the few figures he had in his boxes. There were none with yellow hair (other than girls) but I found one guy with an acceptable hairdo in light gray (that I could paint) Then I was looking for a figure with a nicer suit, and I saw that magician (at least that's what I think he was) The plan was to switch bodies so my President would be dressed better, but I couldn't get his hands off. And so the idea of having an election with the two figures just popped into my head, and I decided to go for it.

Dear Martha, I vote for the other guy also. Can I come and live with you (smile)? Thanks for the "bedtime" story.

This made my day! There will be a direct presidential election held in Czech republic this weekend. It's so nice to see such well-mannered voters instead.

I agree with Ringo! (It seems I often do, although I haven't pouted like that since I was younger than he appears to be. The few times I tried, my parents told me to put my lip back in. LOL)

I love this one too. Ringo appears to be a good judge of character. His little pout adds so much to his personality. My grandmother used to say you could ride to town on my lip when I was pouting.
