Kyle and Aeran

Yesterday's blizzard gave me the opportunity to photograph Kyle and Aeran, as a couple out in
the snow. I love these two, but they haven't seen much camera time since their big adventure....

I'm starting to miss the snow back home right about now! We are near Miami, Florida, and it's rather hot today - over 34 C. I can't make new Blog posts because Weebly requires "drag and drop" capabilities, which my IPad does not have, so I'm just adding a comment to the last post from before we left.

The girls have had some fun on the beaches on the Florida Panhandle, but I have to be extra careful they don't get too much sun. Everyone likes a nice tan, but three of the girls will just turn green from too much sun, and we can't be having that!

Well, we are off to the Everglades in the dark. hope there's still a campsite available!

How lovely to hear from you! My goodness that is HOT and yes protect the girls from going green! *gasp*

Have fun and slap on the sun cream, and I really hope there is a camp-site available for you! xxx

Oh yes, Everglades National Park had lots of campsites available. I love Nat. Pk campsites - they are so big and spacious, and cost very little.

Today was even hotter - same 34 C but with ridiculous humidity! I don't know how locals can stand it here in summer! It's been too hot for doll photos - they prefer to stay in the nicely air-conditioned RV. Maybe tomorrow we'll try again, otherwise they'll just have to wait until we are further north again.

Our trip is half over! in little more than a week I should be home again - hopefully with lots of photos! We've explored New Orleans, and the Gulf Islands Beaches of Florida's Panhandle (my favorite part of Florida) and tomorrow we are all set to explore Key West, which is the closest I'll ever get to 'tropical'. We are enjoying the palm trees, the tropical flowers, the beaches and the beautiful turquoise waters. And the wildlife - alligators, and especially the birds; wood storks, herons, spoonbills, eagles, owls and egrets. The pure white ibis, herons and egrets stand out everywhere we go.

Tomorrow it's Key West, which is like visiting the Caribbean and two dolls get to come along (my bag will hold only two doll boxes) Every outing two different dolls get to come along - unless it's somewhere we can park the RV, and then more can come out, like at the beach at Gulf Islands National Seashore, one evening along the Florida panhandle, when everyone got to come out together.

Oh wow! This is going so fast! I am so pleased that the holiday is so much fun, and that you are seeing so much. The bird-watching sounds wonderful *happy sigh* but I don't think I would be so happy about the alligators *yikes*

Take care and have lots more fun

It's minus 11 degrees C today here. Nice and sunny, still snow on the ground,(with some grassy spots showing) but cold.

We've been checking the weather back home and have seen it's still like the dead of winter. Here it's way hotter than last time we came down to Florida, and that was even a few weeks later. Had to leave Key West, as it was over 30 C already before 9 am. Good thing too, as we just got back on mainland Florida and it's 37 in the shade, not counting humidity! It was way too hot for doll photos! Heading north now and hoping it gets a lot cooler, and maybe some photo opportunities there.

I think I'll stick with the minus 11. The sun is still very warm. You don't even need to turn on the heat in the car when you go out.
Stay cool.

I agree! It went right up to 39 C in the shade, not including humidity in south Florida. We just got out of there as fast as we could. It was MUCH better in the north; 20 C in the day and down to around 5 at night. Way better for sight seeing and sleeping. just left Charleston South Carolina and have started the long drive home. Hope to be back on Sunday - hopefully with pictures (depending on if the CS6 trial period has run out)

No, no dolls with wildlife. Not many in cities either. I'm not nearly as good at taking doll photos in touristy places as you are. Yesterday I did take two dolls into an old historic city, but I didn't take many photos. This morning collecting shells on the beach was better. I definitely prefer when there's less people around.
