Sartoria is a relatively new BJD company, started by someone who used to work at Iplehouse. They started out by offering special edition heads, to fit on the larger Iplehouse doll bodies. Then they developed their own bodies for their dolls. Even though I don't buy the larger dolls, I was smitten with Jude, as Braveheart, when they released him...

So when they released him as a Limited Edition in Fashion size, I knew I wanted him....

I had alway thought that he reminded me of Rex, my favourite Iplehouse sculpt, but when I compare their photos side by side, they are very different....

So he'll be coming to join my gang at some point. I'm not sure how he will fit in with the existing 'family' dynamics, but I can figure that out later.

Oh how exciting! I love Jude too. I have the SD size head who's still waiting for a body. I can't wait to see size comparison with your FIDs.

I wish I'd thought of just getting his head back when it was offered in the big size. I would have swapped it with my Tedros.

I looked at the measurement comparison and SartoriaJ's Athletic51 body is almost the exact same measurements as Iple's Muscle FID. Except Jude is about 1.5 cm taller (mostly in the legs, and his head is a tiny bit bigger. Most other measurements are almost the same, or maybe a millimetre off here and there. So if I want to make something to have ready for when he comes I will need my Lawrence as a model.

I've always wanted to make a 'Braveheart' costume for one of my guys - not like the one Jude wears in some of his promo photos, but based more on the one Mel Gibson wears in the movie. Or maybe a mix?

He would make a great sibling for Rex. They look like members of a family, not identical, but they share features. I look forward to see what you make for him. Definitively one of the males that look gorgeous with long hair.

He could very well end up as Rex's brother.

The question becomes which period he will be a brother in? I wanted to make some Rococo period stuff for Bianca, Rex, Yvette, and Edan when he comes, as well as maybe a KID and BID. But that's already six new outfits. It would be a lot easier to just add Jude to the Fantasy medieval group. But not as a knight. Fortunately I will have some time to think about it.

Jude is the one I would have chosen if I had bought one of these men. That 1.5cm taller is what killed it for me. The fashion men are getting too tall. On the other hand I'm thrilled you've decided to buy him. He'll make a great addition to your group, no matter which time period he ends up in. Why not both Fantasy and Rococo? You don't have to make all the costumes all at once. I see a family resemblance with Rex, too.

I have so many costumes on my wish list that it's hard to prioritize. It's just that I worry about not being able to make them anymore, as my arthritis is getting really bad.

Jude is quite a "looker." I can see why you wanted him.

He does look like Rex. I can't wait to see which woman snatches him up.
