Jasmine at Christmas

12/24/2015

I've been so very busy, that I've not taken hardly any Christmas photos at all yet this year. So today I took the opportunity to take some photos of Jasmine, in the green lace dress I made for her. Jasmine is a MIM doll, who I purchased as a birthday gift for a special little someone. I've been busy making several outfits for her, and there's still one left to finish, but I have until next week, so there's plenty of time.

I wish I had play dolls like this when I was little!

Martha you are a fairy, Jasmin looks very pretty, in your hands she has become a wonderful little girl. The little someone who has this doll is lucky not only to have the doll but also to have you !

I forgot to ask you what wig is Jasmine wearing, I like it very much.

It's the default wig she comes with. There are four different MIM dolls and each one comes with a specific default wig, a two-piece outfit and some sandals. http://www.mimdolls.com

What a lovely doll! I had not heard of the MIM dolls and am impressed. Her dress you made makes her look like an expensive BJD! Such a delightful present for a little girl.

What really makes her look like an expensive BJD is that she's been sprayed with matte sealer, and that totally gets rid of the 'plastic shine'/ Plus she's been given smaller eyes and some lashes. And her neck joint has been modified so she can look up and down, as instead of just from side to side.

Now I understand why she looks so different from the one on MIM site. Does this one has the original make up ? Also, could you tell me how was her neck joint modified so she can look up and down ? I have a doll with similar problem and don't know what to do. Thank you !

Yes, she still has her original makeup. My other MIM had her freckles enhanced, but I've not taken any photos of her since she came back from Charie. I'm sorry, but I don't know exactly what Charie did to make their neck joints work better.

Beautiful work, as always. Love the faceup. Makes me want to get another one to do a faceup on. (I would do it on Mona, the one I already have, but I adore her face as is).

And yes, I know it is the original face, but it looks so much better with the smaller eyes and the addition of the lashes.

Still want to get one and redo the face. Must find out how Charie modded the neck...
