Yesterday was a nice cloudy first day of Spring, so we went to the 'trillium woods' for some doll photos. I had made my Wizard a shawl and scarf for warmth out in the snow, and some of my other dolls were standing around waiting to go on some Fantasy expedition with him. But we never got any more snow. So they'd have to go to the woods instead. And on a cloudy day so there wouldn't be all kinds of harsh light and shade to deal with.

The Wizard and his little band of adventurers are really cute! I love how the "elderly" wizard has a shawl and scarf for a little extra warmth against the chill of an early spring day.

I need to find some proper woods. All I have in my yard are boxwood hedges (unkempt at the moment because I haven't had time nor weather to go out and shape them), a couple of dogwoods and a hickory tree. Though I supposed I could work with the ivy on the stone work on one side of the house, but I really need to rip that out to keep it from damaging the foundation... *sigh* At any rate, I LOVE these pictures. Such a great grouping! More, More, More!

Back in the winter before I started the Wizard's clothes, we were watching one of the LOTR movies, and I noticed Gandalf had a long gray scarf, so I knit one. It didn't really go with his outfit at first, but then with the shawl, it did. Comments are closed.
