They look beautiful!!! I'm a bit jealous that you have THREE horses - it's so nice seeing them all riding together in their amazing outfits! I only have one of these horses so far ($10 at the op-shop/thrift store - couldn't believe my luck!) and I have you to thank for making me realise that they look perfectly in scale with the Raccoondoll. One day I'd like to get a white one of those horses and attach a unicorn horn to it and put one of the elf ladies on it! If I can find/make such a horn and work out how, that is! :D

Then I probably shouldn't tell you that I actually have seven of these horses, and three of their colts.

I made the white colt into a unicorn. I replaced all the synthetic hair with mohair, blushed the colt, and made the horn out of Aves Apoxie. You can see photos of it in 'Fairies in the Meadow' in Favourite Photos 2019.

Oh wow, that's a lot of horses! The unicorn colt looks AMAZING, I love how it looks with the mohair! I'd like to try that on the bigger white horse, if I ever get one... and can manage to sculpt a horn, which I'm not at all sure about! :D I wish they'd make a black horse too, I feel my vampire FID boy would look good on one of them!

The horses are by Our Generation, and are available new at Target in the US, and Mastermind and Toys-r-Us in Canada. Two of mine were purchased new, but all the others came from Value Village for a few dollars. Most come with unsuitable coloured saddles and tack (if any at all) but I have a tutorial on how to make them look better.

Saw your comment about wishing they’d make a black horse. I believe they have done so a few times in the past. You can find them on eBay if you look up “our generation horse” but shipping may be high or not depending on the seller. I’ve always wanted to make a big unicorn too, but now I’ve about given up on doing it with one of these. I’m currently in the process of sewing one instead for 1/4 scale dolls.

You can always paint an existing horse black.

Jamie is a handsome little "knight" with a great family! I love how Jude is such a protective father for wee Bonnie.
