He's very lightweight, and quite posable, and I figured I'd take some photos of him in the studio, along with a BID, so you can see how well he can pose, and how big he is....
Well, the dragon is done. At least 99.9% done. I think he could use a little more beading on the tops of his legs, but I can do that later. I had originally wanted to give him a 'beard and mane', but even though I had plenty of great coloured mohair, none of it looked right. So he'll go without.

He's absolutely wonderful!! And as fierce as he looks, Holly makes him look friendly. It's all in the company you keep, isn't it?

Thanks! In my opinion, dragons should look fierce, even if they aren't.

I guess she doesn't need any lessons on how to train her dragon!

Not at all. Just give him a Teddy, and he's yours for life

He's fantastic, Martha! From the top of his horns to the tip of his tail, he's everything a dragon should be. Looks like Holly has made a friend. Does he have a name?

Thanks! No name yet, although he should probably get one.

It's absolutely incredible. I am amazed. I was watching your blogs about the progress, but this dragon just left me speechless.

He is wonderful. Absolutely amazing. I knew, he would be great, because you don't do things by halves, but this dragon beats everything.

That's a truly awesome and pretty amazing dragon. Glad he found a friend in Holly and a cute little teddy to keep him from feeling lonely.

I am very impressed. I think he is the best dragon in every way I've ever seen. He looks fierce, sophisticated, handsome and I would never have thought he could be also so posable. You can be proud of your dragon !

Thanks so much! With the wire inside, he's quite posable, although maybe not as much as if he was a BJD dragon. But now he's very lightweight, he doesn't have any unsightly seams, and his paint won't scratch off either.

I am speechless with admiration! He is the most wonderful dragon ever!

Thanks! He's not that big, but I thought I'd start out making my first dragon using parts of the Smallworks pattern, so I'd have a 'jumping off point'. I've learned a lot, so next time (whenever that is) I can design the entire dragon from scratch. Comments are closed.
