I found a nice fabric in the discount aisle, that had nine individual squares with a Christmas theme across the width of the bolt. The perfect size!! So I bought a 'panel', which had three rows of the squares. Back home I found backing fabrics to match all the various pillow squares, and sewed them up. I stuffed a few, but some of my kids wanted to help.....so I let them....
I wanted some nice pillows for the furniture in my holiday room settings, and considered doing some needlepoint ones, but thought it would be way too much work, and take way too long. So when we went to Len's Mills yesterday to get some fire-fighter print fabric for some pillows for my grandson, I also walked all their aisles looking for something that could be made into nice doll-size pillows. Aaron cut up the rest of the panels.... While Nyssa stuffed.... ...and stuffed some more..... While Lisa sewed the openings in the stuffed pillows shut.... Byuri took a pillow case and some stuffing....intending to help.... But became distracted.....watching Lisa sew....

Well that fabric was made for your gang! What a lucky find.

I think here the two terms are more or less interchangeable. But maybe not. 'Cushions' here suggests the separate upholstered seats on chairs and sofas. Whereas 'pillow's would be the ones on beds, but also decorative 'throw pillows' like these ones. Comments are closed.
