Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is Thanksgiving Day here in Canada.

Usually we are away on a road trip somewhere at this time, so I've never taken any doll photos to celebrate the occasion. I never had the need to. But this year we are stuck at home, neither of us feeling very well.

So I thought I'd post some photos from a few years ago, that seemed appropriate for today....

Thankful for the harvest....

I love these! And I'm sorry to hear you're under the weather. :-( Just curious, do you have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner? If so, what is typical? Thanks! Jay

Unfortunately I'm almost always 'under the weather', and it likely won't ever get better.

We were invited to a Thanksgiving dinner, but had to cancel due to both us not being well. The dinner would have had a turkey with cranberry sauce, ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, mashed turnips, other vegetables, rolls, and probably pie for dessert. Not much different than the standard US Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving is also like the last official weekend of 'summer', when people go up north to see the fall colours and close their cottages for the winter.

The biggest difference is that here it does not include football all day, nor is it considered the official start of the 'holiday season'. Here Christmas is the bigger holiday.
