Which means I have to make do with what I have blooming in my own backyard. Even though I do have two small areas where I have scillas blooming, the background behind them is far less than ideal. But I was determined to try anyways. So I took Grace and her horse out yesterday....
One of the things I'm most disappointed about this spring is that I don't have the opportunity to take doll photos in the field of scillas blooming along the townline. It's been an annual event, going over there with all kinds of dolls, trying to come up with new shots every year. And then there was also the new spot along the lake at Petticoat Creek which we discovered last year. But I don't drive and Jan isn't allowed to, so there won't be any opportunity at all this year. Which means I have to make do with what I have blooming in my own backyard. Even though I do have two small areas where I have scillas blooming, the background behind them is far less than ideal. But I was determined to try anyways. So I took Grace and her horse out yesterday.... There's only a very narrow view across the lawn where the background looks remotely 'natural', and it still needs considerable blurring to camouflage the big wooden fence.... But considering it was this or nothing, I thought the photos were quite successful....

Grace looks so gorgeous in this setting that I don't imagine anyone will be examining the background for traces of a wooden fence. These photos are more than successful. Brava!

I agree with Lorraine, Grace is stunning. All eyes are definitely on her. The rocks in the background help to set the scene. She looks beautiful among the flowers.

I agree too! Grace is so beautiful the background would be blurred no matter what it was. The rocks and branches add to the wilderness look, and to me the fence is blurred enough that it suggests a dense forest behind her.

I think the photos turned out great! She's lovely and so is your garden background. The colors are wonderful!

I agree, Grace looks fantastic in her beautiful gown. And the background looks like a very old wood with gigantic trees and boulders, very mysterious, I find it great.

Love these photos. The blurred background worked great. Comments are closed.
