Going for a Walk

After Leona and Holly left, Iris thought it might be nice to just go for a walk, and get some fresh air.

Most of the flowers had already frozen, but there were still a few hardy ones left, and it was such a nice day. Best to take advantage of it while they still could....

Lisa wanted to push Sena in her carriage...

...while Nyssa pushed her doll buggy...

"It's so nice to go out like this...."

Eric and Nyssa were gathering red maple leaves....

All in all, a nice afternoon walk in the park....

I love how Nyssa's baby is peeking over the top of her carriage.

Thanks! I had reworked Sena's carriage some, by painting the wheels black, to make it look more realistic.

The doll peeking over was just chance. This was one of those scenes where I had to lay on the ground in front of the walkway, and I have to ask Jan to make any posing adjustments, and I missed that.

Sounding like a broken record, I'll say again how lovely your Victorian family is. I love all your dolls and stories, but this one has a special place in my heart. Thank you for creating such a warm and beautiful family story!

Thank you! I've really enjoyed shooting this family, and getting all sentimental, trying to invoke emotion through the dolls. I think there's been some really amazing photos.

It's rather odd for me seeing these photos now, since they were taken back on Halloween, and my whole garden is dead and bare now. I miss the flowers, even though at that time the garden had mostly been cleared out, and there were only the three baskets of million bells, and the one huge fuchsia tree left, which I had Jan place strategically to create the semblance of a fancy garden walkway.
