Getting Seated

It was the evening before David's birthday, and the family had gathered for a special, private, birthday banquet.  Everyone was in their seats, when Lawrence motioned for David to come up to the head of the table....
Picture
"Since it's your birthday, you and I will switch places this evening, and you will have the place of honour at the end of the table..."

David was surprised.....
Picture
It was the King's place at the end of the table...
Picture
He knew it was quite an honour.....and everyone was watching....
Picture
So he sat down....

Picture
"How does it feel?", asked Lady Grace...
Picture
"Good..."

But with everyone at the table staring at him....
Picture
He couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious...

I just love this. Such a good idea to create a Medieval family. The setting is gorgeous! David reminds me of a student I had for a couple of years. The facial resemblance is very close. He could be one of those celebrity dolls, except of an ordinary little boy. I am really looking forward to the rest of the story. Thank you for sharing your talent and collection.

Thanks. I really like the Fashion size dolls - elaborate costuming has always been my first love - but I figured that creating a family with them, with all that entailed, was far more interesting than just a bunch of beautifully dressed adults standing around.

Much of the story is still developing. Thankfully I can leave everything set up on my dining room table until inspiration hits, and photograph it at leisure.

All I know right now is that David has his big family banquet on the eve of his birthday, and then he has a party with his siblings and friends the next day.

I am loving this story! I always thought that David was a special young man. I echo Rae, there is something endearing about him.

The table is fabulous. The costumes are stunning.

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to photographing this story - once I figure it all out.

It's hard to know what to say! The way this medieval family has developed, their beautiful costumes, the castle setting, and the stories of their family life are wonderful. I'm so looking forward to how this medieval saga unfolds in the days and weeks ahead.

Thanks. I'm really loving this myself, and am impressed by every new set of photos. They all work so well together, and it adds so much more dimension to possible story lines. I guess I'm so excited about it because I never expected it.
