Garden of the Gods

Next morning we woke to a clear blue sky without a cloud in sight. After three days of heavy storm clouds obscuring the mountain tops it was a nice change. First destination was Garden of the Gods again. It's most beautiful very early on a sunny day, as in this classic view of the red fins framing snow-covered Pike's Peak in the distance.....

We parked near the Balanced Rock, and let the kids get out and explore.
Efreet immediately started to climb up the rocks..

The girls were just as nimble on the rocks...               ........as Owen took pictures......

We loved the red rocks so much, they made us miss the red rocks of the US Southwest, especially Arches National Park. So we've decided we have time to add it into our trip. Yay!

Thanks! That's why I've recently started adding scenery pictures along with the doll pictures. That way you can get a better idea of their surroundings. The USA has so many spectacular places!

So, with only five family members, who's taking the group shots? The camera can't be set on timer since the Dad has it around his neck? :-)

You are forgetting the Colly Spy camera I got in Cambridge. They had TWO cameras with them, and that's the one taking the pictures whenever there's someone in the shot that has a camera around their neck. It has a tripod and timer for group shots.

*First rule of trip photography - never go with just one camera. Always bring a back up, just in case, and so more than one person can take photos if they want to.

This all looks just so real....wow! You had no need to worry about how you would cope with a modern family. You have nailed it in one!
