Her art classes were over for now, and her Art Show was coming up soon, so Narae was busy framing all her paintings...

Martha, just incredible! I love this story. Did I see a portrait of a BID tucked behind a painting? I can't wait for the show. I will check my mail for the gallery opening announcement (smile). I surely won't want to miss it.

I just finished shooting her art show today, so it will be coming up soon.

And yes, one of her paintings is a portrait of three little girls.

I enjoy following your blog. The scenes you create are fantastic! Who makes the Narae Doll? She reminds me of the character Jo on a British television show called Heartbeat that I think was from the 1990s.

Narae is by the artist Bimong, and has been available in limited numbers from several sources over the years - Narindoll, some US doll company, and D'Storic had a contract with him for a short period. Ihave two older Naraes each from one of the earlier sources, but this one is Butterfly narae, who I got during the D'Storic End of Contract Sale back at the end of 2012.

Bimong has started making and selling his dolls again through his own site - http://www.art-bimong.com/index.php

I`m really enjoying this series. The artist character you've created for Narae is terrific! Beside "being" a talented artist, an excellent teacher and good with children, she's handy with tools and is a good business woman. All in all, she's a great role model for any real life woman!

It's always interesting to read what other people read into my pictures.I just chose this Narae because she was meant to represent my sister - because she's the one who painted all the paintings - and my sister doesn't like all the 'sad' or 'serious-looking' dolls, and I knew she liked this one. That's it. All the rest just came out of the necessity of being an artist.
