Forest Dwellers

4/16/2021

I finally finished the outfits for my last two guys last week.  I made Manny mouse a simple 'country style' outfit, to go with the ladies....
Picture
It was too small to make a fabric collar, so I fashioned one from 1/8" silk ribbon...

Mr. Ropuha needed something more elegant to go with Tiana's outfit. I wanted him to have a removable coat, but after all the frustration of putting in separate sleeves in his shirt/vest, I just designed a basic 'T' shape coat. I really didn't want to try put in any more sleeves.....

So now they are all dressed....

That's it for now, but yesterday the artist announced that she's working on a chipmunk.
I can't wait to see it!

I see a gala affair happening in the forest. Everyone is so nicely dressed.

Mr. Ropuha does, indeed, look as elegant as his beloved.

And I see there is to be another forest dweller in the future, or maybe two (smile).

They do indeed need to come out and have some more fun this year. I do have some in mind, but it all depends on weather and the garden situation. Plus I do have a LOT of other dolls who want a chance too.

They are a very well dressed crowd now. I think the frog couple are my favourites, although the mice are very sweet too.

Thanks. It's interesting how different characters appeal to different people, but then that's a good thing, with something for everyone.

My favourites in order are; the Fox couple, followed by the Raccoons, Manny and Muffy Mouse, then the pink mouse, Mr. Ropuha, the mouse in purple, and lastly Tiana.

These outfits are truly amazing, when I consider how tiny these dolls are, I do not understand how you were able to put such details to it :). Another marvelous task achieved! Congratulations.

Thank you. I didn't mind doing the Foxes and Raccoons, but the Toads and Mice we're a real challenge. I think the worst part had to be insetting sleeves.
