Flying High

Today, October 5th is Balloons Around the World Day, so I put together a small 'hot air balloon' so Avery and Emily could go flying high above the countryside. Then we went for a test flight...

The test flight proved successful, and pointed out the areas that needed improvement. So I've dealt with them, and it's now ready to be taken on a Hot Air Balloon adventure.

I agree, these little elf kids are adorable.

The wooden disk attached to the bottom of the basket has a hole in the middle for a dowel. That way Jan can hold the balloon as high as I want, or on an angle, and I just Photoshop the dowel out afterwards.

Oh my goodness, what fun! I love that one of the little dragon children has gone along. I am sorry, I haven't learned all of their names yet.

These little ones are just too cute!! ❤️ They have me smiling from ear to ear. The posing in the photos is perfect!

I'm looking forward to their balloon adventures! (and to some behind the scene photos too)

Yes, they are! I've made some major improvements to the basket, so am thinking they could come along for a fall colours balloon adventure next week.
