But I thought the spires of the church at St. Roche des Aulnais, in Quebec along the St. Lawrence River would work....
It's a very long drive to the ferry to Newfoundland, so we make all sorts of stops along the way. Sometimes the dolls come out of the cupboard, and sometimes they don't. The kids would fit in anywhere, but Rex and Bianca could only work with either just scenery, or something manmade that dated from roughly two hundred years ago, or more. But I thought the spires of the church at St. Roche des Aulnais, in Quebec along the St. Lawrence River would work.... I did eventually come up with a story for Rex and Bianca, but have decided to present the trip photos in the order that I took them first, and put together a separate album with their story later.

I think, it works perfectly and i definitely love your idea of a story.

At first I was just shooting them in appropriate locations, and still did that, but a storyline sort of presented itself halfway through. However, I decided it would be too stressful to try present the photos in that order right now, especially since there are also other connections between the past and present. So I'm better off presenting the story afterwards, and possibly supplementing with new photos taken at home.

Rex and Bianca really do look completely at home in that setting. They look so beautiful together in those costumes. Looking at them is like stepping back in time. Their story will be lovely. Please take your time so you will enjoy it as much as all your readers will!

Thanks! I'm just going to go slowly through the trip photos, as I can. I'm in so much pain right now. Don't know if it was walking too much at Louisbourg, or the terrible roads in Quebec, or this heat, but the fibromyalgia and arthritis pain is terrible. It's never been this bad after coming home after a trip before. But then, it's been three years since we actually went on a road trip.

Dear Martha, we are just happy to see your lovely photographs. The story will take care of itself.

Thanks! I find that Rex with his hat and cloak looks so 'American Revolution'. But it's all from that same time period. Comments are closed.
