Finishing Off Year End

1/3/2016

The start of a new year means I have to finish off all the old albums from 2015, so that's what I've been busy doing. All the Favourite Photo albums of 2015 are now complete.  I wasn't too sure about how to deal with the photos of the four birthdays back in the middle of December, but there were way too many to go into one album, so I divided them up so each doll had their own. Which meant some albums didn't end up with very many pictures, but at least the birthdays with short stories are on their own.

Next is finishing off the photos on my other website, and catching up on posting all the doll clothes made in the past year or two. It seems I've been very negligent with that, especially with posting the photos of the outfits that my own dolls keep.

This afternoon we went in search of some nice snow, so I could take a few photos. I was thinking it would be interesting to photograph the 'Arrival of Winter'.  I need new thumbnails for 2016, and would prefer to use a doll that hasn't been featured before. I figured I'd use Kassia as the Queen of Winter, but I needed an attendant. I thought to use Lonnie again, since it might be interesting to have the same attendant for every season. But what could she wear that looked 'wintery', and wouldn't take forever to make?  So I ended up borrowing Butterfly Narae's white 'Clara' dress. It went nicely to the ground on lonnie, and with the addition of long, white, individual sleeves, and a white velour cloak, she looked the part of 'Winter's attendent'....

Well done with all the website organising and oh wow about Lonnie! You have dressed her beautifully!

I thought Lonnie looked gorgeous. Too bad her outfit was only a temporary scrounging together. But poor Narae was cold standing around topless, and wanted her dress back.

Oh my ! She looks fabulous, like a character of a fairy tale. With your photos of the dandelions not so long ago, I was wondering if you would have snow this winter. A friend living in Germany told me they had only snow one day in november which is very unusual and I was wondering if it would be the same case for you. I'm glad you had snow again, well I don't know if you like snow or not but your photos of your dolls in the snow are always stunning and I was hoping to see them again.

Thanks! We always get snow. We've never had a winter without it. It's just come a bit later this year, and that's happened before - nothing at all until mid January, and then we get dumped on until April.

And yes, I LOVE snow! I prefer a blizzard to hot & humid any day!
