Feegles & Stuff

I had been told that anything from Russia takes a very long time, and to expect my Feegles to take at least three weeks.  So I've not been checking tracking much, figuring it was way too soon.

But I thought I'd just look this morning to see where in Russia they were at now, and to my surprise, they were already in Montreal, having come in from Moscow via France.  And the expected delivery says TOMORROW!  Wow!  That's just ten days, and way faster than I was told to expect.

I'm so curious to see them, but costumes and face ups will likely still be a while.  I'm trying to make some clothes and wig for Owen #2 - who I think might be called 'William'. I want something 'Scottish', as his Fantasy costume will likely be a 17th century highlander along the lines of 'Braveheart' or 'Macbeth'. I'd prefer 'James' but that's my son-in-law's name.

My hope is that I'm up to a short fall trip starting next week, and I'd like to take a brand new 'family' set of dolls along - Isis, her guy, Nyssa, Eric, and Lisa. Which means they'd all need some warm fall clothes. I just finished a sweater set for Isis.....

I've started a scarf with pale blue and white stripes, for when it gets really cold.

I also made a sweater and scarf for her guy (when we were up in Kilarney in late August) and am now working on one for Eric.  He's twins with Nyssa, and she has a red Fair Isle sweater, so i chose a red variegated yarn for Eric's sweater....

But, even more important than clothes (I could always borrow some off Owen), the new guy needs a wig.

Unfortuately it's very hard being creative with so much back pain.  I've had it for months already, and it just seems to be getting worse.  My doctor says it's my spine, but doesn't give any tips on whether or not it's permanent, or on how to live with it. So I don't know if I can handle a road trip, or much of anything right about now.

But I need to be ready just in case, and even before that, I need to finish the photo series on Mr. Ropuha's wedding. We were away for three days, and that always throws a wrench in the 'flow' of things. I still have several scenes I wanted to shoot before I was finished with the series.

So, what am I doing sitting here typing on the computer, when i should be addressing some of these things?? Better get to it before the pain killers wear off....
