Fantasy in the Land of Icebergs

Way back at the beginning of the year when we first thought of going to Newfoundland again, I had all kinds of ideas for some fantasy pictures. But with the never-ending health issues, the trip date snuck up on me, and I was suddenly out of time.  I couldn't decide if I should bring a 'contemporary' group, or a 'Fantasy' group.  Contemporary dolls would be WAY easier to photograph in the various setting. but it would be the second time taking a contemporary group to Newfoundland. The scenery in Newfoundland would be perfect for a Fantasy group. but I didn't have any time to make the props I'd wanted to take. So, I opted for a contemporary family - again.  But at the last minute I threw in everyone's Fantasy costumes - just in case.

 The icebergs at Goose Cove seemed like the perfect place to shoot some Fantasy pictures. So I spent two and a half hours redressing all the dolls, and realized it was way too much work to be doing over and over again, so this was going to be a one time deal. With no props for any kind of story, I was left with just taking some dramatic shots of the dolls with the icebergs in the background. At least Winston would add a bit of interest.

So after everyone was properly dressed, we hauled them all up the trail to the cliff top....

It was a bright, sunny morning, so I had to be careful to limit everyone's exposure to the sun, which meant that forward-facing pictures never had everyone in them. It was a lot easier to handle just two dolls in the sun, and maybe four.  But not six.

I'm going to put all the Fantasy pictures together in one album, as they don't fit with the others.
