Duncan

After leaving Butchart Gardens we headed north, and stopped in at Duncan, the 'City of Totems'. However, my feet were way too sore after walking through Butchart Gardens twice, so we only visited the Station Gallery.

What an amazing place. Owen and Milo were so lucky to visit Duncan and see the totems and the rolling stock.

Duncan has many totem poles throughout the town, and we've taken the Walking Tour' several times in the past, but I just wasn't up to it that day. Plus it was late in the day, and the lighting wasn't very good.

I am learning so much about your country via these trip photos Martha....thank you!
After I have admired the photos I go and look on Google to find out a bit more about the places the dolls (and you!) have visited.

If you are interested, I have an album of photos from when we went out west five years ago, also in fall, and we visited many of the same places. It was WAY better weather, so the scenery pictures are far superior. I did take along my Ryung - it was the very first trip with a doll along - but I didn't post her photos in that album through the other pictures. In fact, it was the doll photos from that trip that inspired me to start my Antique Lilac website.
The trip album 'West Coast Autumn 2010' has a link on my 'Links' page - http://www.antiquelilac.com/links.html

The photos of Ryung from that trip are in favourite Photos 2010.

Yes, there's some fabulous photos in that album., and I'm sure you'll recognize many of the places we visited. It certainly makes a HUGE difference if you have nice weather. We had a lot of bad weather this time, so the mountains were almost a total write-off.
