Down by the Fountain

Next, we went down to the formal gardens and fountain area. The water wasn't running yet,
but I found a good spot for some group and individual portraits....

With so many photos of the girls and their bouquets, I've been asked repeatedly, "Where's the bride?" or "Is there going to be a wedding soon?". Well, I hadn't planned on it, but I may give it a shot. Just a bride and her bridesmaids. No groom, as I don't have anything appropriate for a guy to wear. I will see what the weather is like next week

They make a beautiful group of bridesmaids!! They look so realistic, you can easily imagine them enjoying themselves as they pose in their lovely dresses while they wait for the ceremony to begin.

I enjoyed your notes about the lighting difficulties and how you worked around them. Your photography tips are always helpful!

Thanks! I figure so many people have photo challenges - even me - so I might as well be honest about it, and share the problems so we can all get better.

I'm glad I figured it out on that visit, so I know what to do next time when I go with Miho and Lawrence, after they are painted. I figure that estate is probably the best place for formal photos of them. Of course, we have to go on a weekday, since the place is usually booked solid for wedding photos on weekends.

Although, a wedding party in the background might actually be interesting. But I don't think a professional photographer would appreciate us having them in the background.

The place will also be nicer in late summer when there's flowers in the gardens and urns.
