Monica approached the baptismal font with baby Daniel...

The Bishop asked Baron and Naomi what they had named their son.

Then he sprinkled a few drops of Holy water on the baby's forehead.

"I hereby Christen you Daniel Ian Alexander."

"Today we officially welcome you into the faith."

"We wish you long life and much happiness."

"May you continue to bring great joy to your parents..."

"...and to your grandparents...."

"...and to your family and friends,"

"...and to all those who come to know you."

The cathedral is a beautiful and majestic place. I am guessing that Naomi and Baron are remembering their first visit there.

I love the baptismal font with its actually water. Where did you find it; did Jan make it? It's lovely.

Thanks. The 'baptismal font' is actually a candle stand that I found at value Village some time ago. I thought it would be perfect. The only thing Jan did was remove the spike inside that secured a candle. It was a bonus that it actually held water, and I even captured the reflection of a candle flame in it.

Oh wow, this setup is stunning. Everything works together beautifully. The reflection of the flame in real water is just a tiny detail, but it shows so much commitment and makes a huge difference between real photos and just born on digital pictures.

Thank you so much! I practiced the set-up at home, and it worked so well with the studio background. I love that Gothic Cathedral. They actually purchased it for Baron and Naomi's wedding a year ago. That way we have rights to use it online and in print.

Sometimes it's even hard to tell in photos which candles are real ones and which ones are not. I caught a glimpse of the candle behind Baron reflecting in the water, and just had to capture it in a photo.
