...and David asked his Mom....
"Would you like to dance?"
No celebration would be complete without some dancing, so Yvette sat down to play some favourite tunes on her lute... As was the custom, the birthday person always chose their partner first..... ...and David asked his Mom.... Then it was time for everyone else to pair up...traditionally not with their own partner... "Would you like to dance?" "May I have this dance, my Lady?"

There's no physical activity I enjoy more than dancing. So dolls dancing is pure heaven!!! Love these! And especially the clever way you've posed everyone. And such a great showcase for your gorgeous work.

Thank you! It was a bit of a challenge making enough space for dancing. My table is only so big. But I think they all had a great time.

How elegant they all look. I am enjoying seeing David dancing with his mother.

It isn't a tradition, except in my doll world, where dancing is just for fun, and not the 'romantic' thing it's become nowadays.

Oh, I understand now. I don't remember studying that period of history when I was in school so I thought maybe that really was a tradition. I do love learning about history now, though.

The thing is, it's a fantasy, and isn't a period in history, so I can do anything I want. It's more along the lines of Lord of the Rings, which has knights, castles, kings and ladies in 'Medieval' style gowns, yet isn't a historical period either.

Each aspect of this story is a delight! I love how they are posed and the way each chose their partner for the dance. David and his mom and Nami with her dad are so cute. Then there's Ringo with Paige. He looks like he's trying very hard to be very grown up. Comments are closed.
