Computer Problems

Sometimes I hate computers!! All week I've been having so many problems with emails and notifications. Stuff isn't coming through, and if it is, it often comes over and over again. I was also getting occasional fake 'virus' pop-ups when I'd open threads on resin cafe. I'd get emails about some Facebook comments, but not others. Some days I wouldn't get any emails when people commented on my website, and other days I just kept getting certain ones over and over, while not getting others from the same post. I don't hear back from people I expected to hear from. - their emails are probably not getting through. I even got a 'friend request' from someone on facebook, and there was a whole long series of conversations between some of my family members in it (!?!?). I have no idea what is going on, and have contacted my son, whose my IT guy. But of course, I never got his response (he did send one) I've tried restarting my computer but nothing helps. Stuff just keeps getting worse.

So I tried again today, and he said there are over 400 messages in my inbox, yet only 100 are actually showing up on my computer. And now I'm having problems with Photoshop too. None of the tools I usually use are working. I can't even crop. And all this is happening just when I finally made the decision to photograph all my extra wigs so I could put them up for sale to coincide with Resin Cafe's virtual conference this weekend. So far I've photographed 40 wigs, but I can't even work with the photos, plus who says I'd even get someone's email if they were interested in some of the wigs, so I guess that's not even worth continuing until this mess gets sorted out.

Maybe I better just get back to my knitting, and work on those fairy costumes!!

Oh, Martha! This sounds like a nightmare, especially when you have so many photos to attend to and so many emails waiting for attention.
I hope you are able to resolve all the problems quickly!!!

I'm a total techno-boob, so anything wrong with my computer just stresses me out so much. I swear it knows when I'm stressed, and then acts up to test me even more.

However I tried restarting it AGAIN, and now Photoshop is responding as usual. And there were several emails from Weebly comments coming through too.

Anyways, I turned off the RAW setting for all the wig photos so I wouldn't have to process them as much. I can't believe how many there are! Most are bigger size meant for an 8/9 head, and were purchased way at the beginning when I only had my Ryung, and was planning on selling an embellished wig along with the costumes. But that idea went extinct when I discovered the joys of doll photography, and all those wigs have been sitting in boxes ever since.

Sorry you are having so many computer issues! Technology can be so frustrating.
I have the multiple copies of emails sometimes. A solution I found online is to access your internet account on your server's website. Then check your email inbox there. Chances are there is a 'dodgy' email that won't come into your email program's inbox. If that dodgy email is spam or not from somebody you know or correspond with, simple delete it. The duplicates should stop and other emails will be able to get in.

I'm not on Facebook so can't offer any suggestions for the problems there. Hope it all gets straightened out and working properly for you.
